The Ice is out!  Official ice out was declared on 8:00 PM on Wednesday,  April 23rd.
Old Man's prediction:  April 24 (a day late and a dollar short).

The bay is clear.  No word on ice-out yet.

A little bit left.  The broads are mostly clear.  It won't be long.

There is a lot of floating ice past the end of the gas dock, but beyond that is open water!  Stay tuned.

More ice than yesterday.  Bad sign?  No!  Ice movement is good.  The shifting ice means it is breaking apart.

The fisherman are back.  A good sign.

Plenty of movement in one day.  It looks similar to 2003 (which had an ice out of April 25th.).  Tomorrow is suppose to be in the 70's.  The Old Man of the Lake predicted ice-out on the 24th.  Could he be right again?

The ice is starting to darken (which is good!).  The picture on the 14th is looks like black ice, but it is just cloud cover.  The ice that re-entered the Channel blew in from Mt.View Yacht Club.  It will be gone tomorrow.

There is a small crack running up the channel.  This is from the large amount of runoff (snow melting) coming into the marina,  and is a sign the channel will open up fairly quickly.

It is looking frosty out there, but do not rule out a normal ice-out.  Look below for pictures of the last few years and we are ahead of 2001 (Ice out May 2).  It resembles 2005, which had an Ice-out of April 20th.  Don't look at 2002, it might lead to depression.  The Old Man of the Lake predicts an April 24th Ice-out.  You can bet your boat on it.
